I was using the tools under "The Muse" section of the February Album Writing Month site at muse dot fawm dot-org.

When I called up a "plot spline," it suggested: “Write a song in third person ("he/she/it") in which the main character is thinking out loud. the story takes place in the future, and the scene is a moving vehicle."

When I asked for a "struxxure," it gave me “verse-chorus-verse-chorus-verse-chorus."

When I asked for a "lyricloud," I got these words: "benny care chucked colonge fetch hes hick ilove inhales leave lets letter love offerin pendulums physician regret run skank skin stay theyve thinking whos win youve"

Out of the words generated by its "titular" title generator, I liked “happiness of ‘03” as a working title better than the others, but went with a variation of “skin” over the others: "finish no woogie,” "like a x-mas,” "don't go me live,” "shed zoo,” "shoot me in,” "the deep housewives of gotta,” "i shall get your sorrow,” "look english me,” "happiness of 03,” "wet to soar you,” "all york moves fed,” "she remains useless,” "bush xmas la,” "loose me back,” "doo run of the diary,” "nowhere to tattoo,” "the redeemer of the troll hill,” "the plastic 1-2-3,” "loose to gotta” and "this goose lights."

She opens the letter quickly
and considers the physician’s view,
then she buys a Greyhound ticket
back to her old hick milieu
and ponders the pendulum's swing,
all the regrets that made her run
against all the love she felt herself offering,
the cares she casually chucks into the sun.

Against vicissitudes of tomorrow,
self-possession’s the only way to win.
Victory over defeat is subtle, but sweet
so long as you stay inside your skin.

She remembers how she felt
during the happiness of ‘03
when everyone in power was dealt
empowered evil, unbound and free,
and she inhaled Benny’s cologne
thinking that he might just be the one
before she left well enough alone,
before she left it over and done.

She feels what she used to love
and heard how she used to care,
but her eyes drift towards the clouds above
while the horizon returns her stare.
She thinks 'oh, girl you’ve gotten better
even if the future’s drained of its fun.
They’ve haven’t yet made you a debtor,
you know you don’t owe them none.'
