I was using the tools under "The Muse" section of the February Album Writing Month site at fawm dot-org.
When I called up a "plot spline," it suggested: “Write a song in first person ("i/we") in which the main character is addressing the listener. the story takes place over a period of time, and the scene is an abstract, undefined place."
When I asked for a "struxxure," it gave me “verse-chorus-verse-verse-chorus-outro"
When I asked for a "lyricloud," I got these words: “against air armageddon birds break car clear dunk home inside jail leave painting pouring pterodactyl rain rented shows slapping stars tears time traveling whipers whispered windshield”
Out of the words generated by its "titular" title generator, I liked the words “lifeless city” best out of "ohio lifeless bloody city,” "your different shore,” "mississippi of the waste buildings,” "doing listening,” "into the wars,” "hotel to shake to,” "lust at the bride casa,” "bless the bridge down,” "burns,” "elegant law (talk),” "threads of all-america bedroom,” "outtan and worm,” "bend me to shock,” "forgiveness for you,” "by the plain,” "da lives you,” "forever ricochet,” "sweet butcher,” "hollow stretch indians” and "object from legends"
lyrics
The wipers they whispered against a windshield clear
While rain poured down through air like pterodactyl tears
I was heading for a lottery ticket line
At a funeral that felt like a wedding
I was droning some deathless ditty
about renting a room in a lifeless city
A gap in clouds overhead came as shock and surprise
Glint of light through darkness like a jail break in the sky
Anything that flies can still fall face-down in a field
See bleached bones abandoned as stars spin like fears
I was heading for a lottery ticket line
At a funeral that felt like a wedding
I was droning some deathless ditty
about renting a room in a lifeless city
I was traveling home for the last time
I was hoping against armageddon
